Why We Recommend the Flex Mini

Running structured cabling to every single desk is expensive. The Flex Mini allows us to run one single ethernet drops to a desk clump, and split that line into five high-speed gigabit ports to power local Macs, VoIP desk phones, and network printers.

Because it supports PoE power input, we eliminate the need for bulky AC power bricks cluttering desk footwells.

Alaska-Specific Use Cases

Low-Power Lodge Workstations

wilderness lodges utilizing off-grid solar or generator power must minimize electrical draws. The Flex Mini consumes a maximum of 2.5W, making it highly efficient for remote booking desks.

Clean Office Cable Management

We deploy the Flex Mini behind smart TVs, digital signage panels, or under reception counters, providing compact, managed network drops without cable clutter.

Product FAQ

What makes the Flex Mini different from other switches?
It is tiny, cost-effective, and can be powered directly via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). You do not need to plug it into a wall outlet if you have a PoE ethernet line at the desk.
Can I configure VLANs on the Flex Mini?
Yes — it supports basic port isolation and VLAN tagging profiles, allowing us to separate corporate Mac traffic from printers or smart TVs at the desk level.
Does it come with a power adapter?
Some retail packs include a USB-C power adapter. However, we recommend powering it via PoE from your main networking closet switch for clean cabling.
